What started with a phone call to the Problem Solvers soon exploded into a story that garnered international media coverage. You first met 87-year-old Marabe...
OMG she was my next door neighbor 12 years ago. She was always alone and always afraid. I grow up on Robinwood St. And I remember her very well. So sad to hear that she passed away.
Seriously? Have some respect. Marabel had called the reporter for help because she was an old lady living alone in one of the worst neighborhoods in Detroit. She had no family to call, no friends, and died alone. Her body, unclaimed. So you tell me, did we really do the story because she was Jewish?

Very very sad . I love that city , Detroit stole my heart when I was a kid and never gave it back .

Very good and sensitive job. I have posted your series to my Urban Economics playlist for my Urban Economics students at Wayne State U.
